His leadership roles have included serving as Chairman of the Milton and Bernice Stern Department of Pediatrics at St. Lukes Hospital/Roosevelt Medical Center.

An influential figure in national pediatric healthcare, Dr. Conway is the immediate-past Chairman of the Executive Committee on Critical Care for the American Academy of Pediatrics and currently serves on the Board of Regents for the American College of Critical Care Medicine of the Society of Critical Care Medicine. His commitment extends to local efforts as a senior member of the NYCDOH Pediatric Disaster Preparedness Committee and the NYSDOH Emergency Medicine Services for Children Committee. Furthermore, he has contributed to the recent guideline on Hemodynamic Management of Pediatric Sepsis.
